— Encavis acquires 43.9-MW Dutch solar project from Solarcentury
German solar and wind park operator Encavis AG (ETR:CAP), formerly Capital Stage, said it has acquired a 43.9-MW construction-ready solar park in the Netherlands from UK solar developer Solarcentury.
— JA Solar’s go-private deal gets shareholders’ nod
The shareholders of JA Solar Holdings Co Ltd (NASDAQ:JASO) voted in favour of the Chinese solar products maker’s proposed acquisition and delisting, but the completion of the transaction does not seem to be 100% certain yet.
— RWE, E.on deal to close by end 2019
The asset swap deal between German energy companies RWE AG (ETR:RWE) and E.on SE (ETR:EOAN) that will create businesses focused on renewables generation and networks, respectively, is expected to close by the end of 2019.
— Recurrent Energy sheds 235-MW US solar portfolio to KEPCO
Recurrent Energy LLC, part of Canadian Solar Inc (NASDAQ:CSIQ), has concluded the sale of a 235-MW solar portfolio in California to Korea Electric Power Corporation (KRX:015760), better known as KEPCO.
— Atlantis investors to vote on SIMEC tie-up in Q2
The shareholders of Atlantis Resources (LON:ARL) will be able to vote on the tidal energy company’s proposed tie-up with a GFG Alliance business at a meeting in the second quarter of the year, Atlantis said.
— Greenbacker acquires 16 MW of US wind parks
New York-based Greenbacker Renewable Energy Company LLC has taken possession of two wind farms in Vermont and California with a combined capacity of 16 MW.
— China Smarter Energy agrees to buy 300-MW solar park in China
Investment holding firm China Smarter Energy Group Holdings Ltd (HKG:1004) said it has agreed to acquire the owner of a 300-MW solar park in the Ningxia autonomous region for CNY 849 million.
— MPC Capital, Martifer set up renewables JV in Colombia
Germany-based real assets investment manager MPC Capital AG (ETR:MPCK) announced it will create a joint venture in Colombia with Martifer Renewables to develop local solar and wind projects.
— S Africa’s Phelan eyes 200 MW of solar acquisitions in India – report
South African solar project developer Phelan Energy Group is keen to acquire 200 MW of photovoltaic (PV) capacity in India, the Mint reports.
— TerniEnergia re-acquires stakes in Italian solar firms
Italian smart energy company TerniEnergia SpA (BIT:TER) said it has re-acquired the stakes in a trio of firms holding solar photovoltaic (PV) plants totalling 21 MW, thus paving its way for the potential sale of the assets.
— BayWa goes Dutch with deal to buy into 2-GW solar portfolio
BayWa re renewable energy GmbH is awaiting permission to buy a majority stake in a 2-GW solar project portfolio in the Netherlands, thus marking its entry into the Dutch photovoltaic (PV) market.
— European Energy to buy 21-MW Danish offshore wind park
Copenhagen-based wind and solar developer European Energy A/S announced it has agreed to acquire the 21-MW Sprogo offshore wind park in Danish waters.
— Malaysian biogas firm Green & Smart gets investment offer
Malaysian biogas producer Green & Smart Holdings Plc (LON:GSH) said that an unnamed party has proposed to invest in the company in exchange for a minority stake.
